1. Mitro hits 15
Before even reaching December, Aleksandar Mitrović has hit the 15 goal milestone – putting him three ahead of his nearest challenger in the scoring charts. The 25-year-old has netted every 108 minutes, which is form that would see him end up on 38 goals at the end of the regular season if it continues!
2. Friday night delight
Fulham’s successful Friday night form continued at Swansea, making it four wins from our five outings on that particular day of the week. And the occasion we didn’t win, we took a creditable point away at Cardiff City despite playing with 10 men for quarter of the match.
3. Rodák on fire
Marek Rodák put on a goalkeeping masterclass at the Liberty Stadium, and was unfortunate not to have a clean sheet to show for his efforts. He was the standout performer in the first half with his five saves, the first of which was nothing short of world class as he repelled Sam Surridge within the six yard box. He later pushed the below George Byers shot around the post, with a very different but equally impressive stop.
4. Onomah’s interception
He may not have got the connection on Ivan Cavaleiro’s pass he was hoping for – although he did end up getting an assist out of it – but Josh Onomah deserves enormous credit for the interception that led to our second goal. The midfielder anticipated Kristoffer Peterson’s backwards pass, and did brilliantly to lunge in and nick it away.
5. Scotty rolling with it
As Scott Parker walked across the pitch at full-time, he couldn’t help but sing along to Oasis’ Roll With It which was being played out across the PA system. Have another watch, and you’ll clock him joining in with the lyrics, “You wanna be who you'd be, if you're coming with me. I think I've got a feeling I've lost inside, I think I'm gonna take me away and hide.”
